My Little Pony

I drew my friend Faith as a My Little Pony ^_^ She's the most badass pony in Equestria.

I'm not a huge fan of the show, but it was a lot of fun drawing it. I remember watching the one from the '80s at my friend's house multiple times when we were kids. She had the largest collection of MLPs I'd ever seen.. I suspect she still has them all. I even wrote a short story in high school about her going to a convention called Ponypolooza and meeting MLP psychos who kidnapped her and dressed her up as Applejack.

Aw cinnamon bones! I haven't posted anything in forever. I guess that's what starting a full time job as a firm's only graphic designer does. I spend so much time in front of the computer all day (don't get me wrong though, I love it) that I tend to stay off the computer in the evening. Sometimes sweet sweet internet coaxes me to do otherwise.
I've been devoting more free time to music.. mostly with a new darkwave/synth pop side project. Some new recording gear has made everything a lot more fun. Encephalon is playing Kinetik festival in Montreal this year! http://www.festival-kinetik.net/

Here are some work sketches. These were done on breaks.

Hive Mind

I keep forgetting to post this! Every time I learn a new technique, I feel the need to go back to artwork that I dislike but still dig the concept, and apply it immediately. When I look at the original version I cringe. When I look at the first sketch in Illustrator I want to cry. I had coloured it horribly and it resembled an Easter egg.

I tried to save it by making it black and white, which is why the final version ended up that way.

Photo Manip!

One of my first photo-manipulations. I did this while ago in school, just for jolly. I think it was November. That is, in fact, my torso. My head is detachable.
My grandpa used to say "How about I take off my head and throw it in my face?"
This terrified me.
